Pluriverse: Participatory Design for a New Web.

Participatory Essay proposing the 'Pluriverse' with 7000+ signatures and submissions
Pluriverse

An interactive, participatory essay proposing the “pluriverse” as a new banner for the community to rally around for how we look at imagining a “new web.” It is co-created with visitors and readers of the site. I created this site in collaboration with my friends at Verses, a collective of writers, researchers, and technologists co-imagining, practicing, and building a healthier cyberspace. The site has received 7000+ signatures and submissions, and was featured by Zora Zine.

I worked on the design and development of the site, and parts of the essay. The site is built with Next.js, React, and Three.js. The orbs/planets are procedurally generated with Three.js and the site is hosted on Vercel. The site is a living document, and is constantly being updated with new submissions and signatures. The submissions are stored in AR Weave, a decentralized storage network for the permaweb.
